“Powers Business Machines, Inc. was established by Connie and Joan Powers in 1970. The business originally opened near Main Street in Hilton and then moved to its current location at 9701 Warwick Boulevard in 1978. Powers started by repairing typewriters, calculators, and shredders but later expanded to sell all types of office equipment including copiers, fax machines, printers, and shredders as well as office supplies and furniture. Powers Business Machines employs 15 people and is now operated by Donna and Kenny Wells.
Offering quality products and exceptional customer service to clients has been paramount to the business’s longevity. Powers Business Machines offers a full
spectrum of office supplies and equipment. They provide supplies and repair services to local and state government agencies, schools, churches, doctor’s offices, and private businesses on the peninsula, southside, Richmond and parts of North Carolina.”
